Things are still “wild” in what I call the “Wild, Wild West” of real estate here in Las Vegas.  Some interesting shifts to report.  Short sales account for almost half of our listings in Vegas. Not a surprise to any of us.

I have gotten to short sales approved this past week. Very very excited about it!

Here are some current stats for you:

There are currently 14,356 homes ER. 
of that 6467 are short sales (45%)
2754 are REO (19%)
5103 are “other” (36%)

Last week 1254 went into escrow.
of that 538 are short sales (43%)
467 are REO (37%)
538 are short sale (44%)
248 are “other” (19%)

At our current rate, we have just over an 11 week supply of properties on the market
