Clients home was set to be foreclosed on this morning. I wrote, cried, threatened, begged, used honey not vinegar, etc… and just heard that Chase and Cal Western Reconveyance postponed the sale to look at our cash offer!

Busy Short Sale Week in Las Vegas
I had heard that buyers “disappeared”, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Had lots of calls on the weekend and offers on listings. Maybe word is speading that the interest rates are crazy low and homes are at walmart prices. My wish is that we keep the momentum going and get short sale approvals quicker. Buyers will stick with the process if we do.

No Tax Credit Extension
Tax credit extension failed to pass. Just heard from Wells Fargo.
Las Vegas is already seeing the impact from the tax credit ending. Many REO brokers and fellow Realtors have noticed a drop in the amount of sign calls and offers from buyers. Sales down 33% in May.
I think the tax credit should be permanent. By purchasing homes they positively affect the economy. New home owners buy...
House Payment lower than a Car Pymt?
Yes! One of our first time buyers this week just closed on a cute single story home with Pool. Her mortgage payment was less than some peoples car payment! $496! FHA buyer and Seller paid her closing costs.
Interest rates remain incredibly low. One agent was quoted on the radio today saying this is the perfect Buying storm. Low home prices and low interest rates!
